<div>Hi my name is Selah! I am entering my senior year of high school at Burbank High School and am currently working on my college applications. I have aspirations to attend film school and to one day become a movie producer. Film schools require a portfolio that includes multiple short films to showcase your talent.

<div>This past school year I spent 6 months writing, producing, directing and editing my very first short film. I submitted the film to multiple film festivals and was accepted into one: The All American High School Film Festival. This is the largest student film festival in the world. Judges for the previous years have been celebrities such as John Legend, Henry Winkler, Dylan McDermott, Kristen Stewart, John Oliver and Brittany Snow.

<div>The festival takes place in New York City and I have been invited to premiere my short film at the AMC theater in Times Square!

<div>I am starting this go fund me to raise support so I can make it to NYC to attend the festival and take my family with me.

<div>Expenses include: airline tickets, hotel stay, food, and tickets to the festival. The film festival has multiple events that require tickets including: the short film premiere, a dinner cruise on the Hudson River to network with other filmmakers and the Teen Indie Awards Night, a red carpet event at Kings Theater where they hand out awards to the winners of the festival including college scholarships.

<div>This is a huge opportunity for me as an aspiring filmmaker and would help me stand out in my college applications which is necessary in the competitive world of film schools - most having less than a 10% acceptance rate.
