As many of you know, I am going through a divorce and have a protection order against my soon-to-be ex-husband. He has attempted to cause me to be homeless, harassed me, stalked me, stolen things from me, and is trying to make me sell my car... among many other things. I have applied for legal aid and I do have a professional person to get advice from, but she cannot be present for the trial for the protection order at the end of this month. I honestly don't feel very comfortable representing myself and do not have the funds to hire a lawyer due to many circumstances. Of course, he has already hired a lawyer and can afford one. I could really use some help to be able to hire a lawyer to protect myself from this person. Yes, I have been getting by and it hasn't been easy, and I don't like sharing my struggles with the public, but I could really use some help in this situation as I really have no support system and have been doing everything on my own. Literally, anything helps and I would be so grateful from the bottom of my heart for any help or advice!
