Help Sebastian Lifesaving Treatment

Hello-

We run a rescue by the name of Philly Bully Team. Back in May, we pulled a dog out of Animal Control named Sebastian. He was so scared of the shelter that he was being reactive and untrusting of humans. Once we pulled him out and into our care, he started to blossom. He wanted to play, he wanted to learn to tricks, he loved walks and he just loved being held and snuggled. We also noticed that Sebastian had a cough, which is not uncommon for a dog coming out of Animal Control. He was put on antibiotics and sent into a foster to adopt home.

Since May, Sebastian has been in the hospital 3 times, confined to an oxygen tank. He had developed bacterial pneumonia and viral pneumonia. This once young and vibrant pup was now lethargic, didn't want to eat and became reclusive.  Every time he went back to the ER, he was put on a new kind of antibiotics that proved ineffective.

As of Tuesday, September 4th, Sebastian is back at the ER. He is now intensive care and in an oxygen tank. He needs CAT scans, and the doctors are reporting that puss is filling up his lungs. He also has thick scar tissue on his right lung from being infected for so long. The doctor is recommending surgery to remove an abscess from his lungs. We are also discussing removing a portion of his lungs.

So far, just today, Sebastians bill is at $2,500. With surgery, the hospital has quoted us at $8,000-$10,000. We are a small rescue and simply cannot afford these costs, however, we will not give up on our commitment to Sebastian. Please help us help this very deserving dog.
