Helping Scouty in her fight against Leukaemia.
Scout Pedersen, 3, is an amazing little girl who has just recently been diagnosed with Leukaemia on Dec 3. She has started an urgent and immediate intense treatment and chemo, however it's only the beginning of what can easily be a 2+ year treatment.
After her parents Dan and Noelle had noticed some bad bruising on her legs, arms and back over the weekend her mum decided on Tuesday to pop into the GP on her way to school pick up for their older two boys Ever (9) and Bay (6). The GP told Noelle to urgently take Scout to the Gold Coast University Hospital ER. Even though the Dr said to do it straight away, Noelle still wasn’t alarmed because Scout was so healthy, active and social.
Once they were at the ER they took some bloods to test, and still Noelle fully believed it to be fine, that there was some other good explanation for the bruises. However the ER Dr told Noelle Scout has Leukaemia. The following day, Wednesday they were sent by ambulance to Brisbane Childrens Hospital to start immediate treatment and they haven't been home since the initial trip to the GP on Tuesday.
We have started this page wanting to offer financial support for the family. Currently both Dan and Noelle are with Scout supporting her in her treatments, they are up in Brisbane away from home, work and their young boys. As you can imagine there are many existing and now additional costs involved in Scout's battle against Leukaemia and your support will make a huge difference.
Although Scout's exact treatment and journey with Leukaemia is still unknown we want to support this family in every way possible so Scout can do her best to fight and heal. So to support them, we're asking for your help.
