Help Scott Milliorn Beat Cancer

Donation protected

Hello, my name is Scott Milliorn.  I have Stage 3 Malignant Melanoma Cancer.

I was diagnosed July 18th, 2018.  The tumor was discovered on my left Great Toe under the toenail.

On August 15th, 2018 I had surgery to remove my Left Great Toe.  The tumor was estimated to be a millimeter from the bone.  The difference here is a toe versus up to my knee.  I'm still hoping that is all that has to be removed.  Same day, I had 4 lymph nodes removed indicating the disease has spread.  One from my upper leg in the quadriceps area, and 3 from my groin area.  Next two pictures is a one month progression from biopsy of the vascular tumor to the day my toe was removed to illustrate how aggressive and deadly this disease is known to be.

On August 28th, 2018 I finally had the stitches removed from the wound of my amputation of my toe.
One month after this I had a port installed into my chest to start chemotherapy(Immunotherapy).
The port is installed into (I believe) my artery leading from my heart to my head.  Bottom incision is the port location.

I have not worked since my surgery in August.  I been on medical leave.  I have accumulated a lot of debt since my diagnosis and medical leave.  I have bills from the hospital, surgeon, podiatrist, and oncologist.  Also, living expenses have contributed to the debt.  I don't start long term disability until the end of November of 2018.  Even when that check arrives it will be 60% of my working wages which equates to right about minimum wages before factoring taxes, living expenses, and medical care.  I have a son in college I am trying to help out.  He does a great job on his own but still needs my help.  I have another son with my girfriend I adopted who is in 6th grade and his father lost his life to cancer a few years ago.

The goal set is to help pay for existing debt from medical expenses and living expenses along with the price of treatment in January for my treatment (out of pocket expense).  I am on Opdivo.  It cost $130,000 a year with me responsible for 20% of the cost out of pocket a month ($2600) with a maximum out of pocket of $3500 yearly.  This drug is designed for my disease.  It is literally the best chance I have.  Targeted radiation and other treatments are not known to be very effective contributing to the high mortality rate of my disease.  Without this drug all that can be hoped for is more amputations and flesh removal with a 2 year or less survival rate for most and at best 5 years.  It eventually will cause brain cancer among other forms of cancer.

My finances are drained.  I need help to stay alive and fight this disease.  My family and kids need me to stay alive and fight this disease.  It took me a few months to do this.  I don't like asking for help, but now I feel like I have no choice.

Thank you for all your help.
