Scott McIntyre is an Australian journalist based in Tokyo.
Seven months ago his wife abducted their children. He has not seen or heard from them since.
In November, Scott was arrested after entering his parents-in-law's apartment complex to seek information on the whereabouts of his children.
He is now in Japanese custody awaiting trial on the charge of "illegal entry".

After the media reported on Scott's story, lots of people started getting in touch wanting to help.
This page has been set up so that anyone who would like to donate can do so easily.
The money will be put towards legal costs, helping Scott re-establish a home when he gets out of prison, and efforts to keep the issue of child abduction in Japan front-of-mind for the media and the Australian government.
We are all so grateful for any support. Scott is one of thousands of parents in Japan who've lost all access to their children.
For the sake of every kid who's lost a loving parent, let's ask Japan to allow joint custody and look after the rights of both parents.
This campaign was set up by Scott's friends and supporters - specifically Shaun Davies and Catherine Henderson. The funds raised will initially go to Lynne McIntyre, Scott's mother, who has set up an Australian bank account especially for this purpose. The money will then be transferred to Scott in Japan to help with the many costs he has incurred during this ordeal.
