We are raising funds to support my cousin Scott and his wife Karen during an incredibly difficult time. Karen has endured three heart attacks, undergone open-heart surgery, and is now hospitalized while battling a serious infection in her legs. Due to these ongoing medical issues, she is currently unable to work.

Over the past year, Scott and Karen have also taken in their two grandchildren along with Karen’s son, stepping up to provide a stable, loving home when it was needed most. Their family has gone from relying on two incomes to just one, while Scott continues to meet financial obligations for his children from a previous marriage. Karen’s son is unable to work full-time because he cares for the children during the week and can only work limited hours on weekends, with all of his income going directly toward the children’s needs. He does not receive support from the children’s mother, so Scott and Karen help whenever possible.

With everyday expenses, they are struggling to keep up. Any support during this time would mean so much and will go directly toward helping this loving family stay afloat while Karen remains in the hospital and doctors work to identify and properly treat her infection.
