Help Scot recover!!!

Donation protected
Scot is a combat veteran, husband & father to four beautiful children that underwent Nissin surgery back in 2011. That surgery caused damage and has unfortunately began effecting his every day life. Nissen fundoplication, also referred to as a Lap Nissen, is a laparoscopic procedure performed for patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Many patients with reflux can be treated with medicines to decrease acid production in the stomach. Unfortunately Scot was unable to due to the high amount of acid his stomach made.

On December 3rd, Scot had surgery to repair the damages caused from his 2011 surgery & on December 6th, something terrible went wrong with the repair. He was set to be discharged from the hospital with a bag of medicine to recover from home when he began having excruciating pain before he got out the door. Scot was rushed back to the ICU where he was sedated and examined to find that his stomach shot up into his chest and a hole developed, spilling the  contents of his stomach around his lungs. What was supposed to be an approximate 4-day length of care provided by the hospital has turned into a much lengthier stay away from consciousness, family & friends around the holiday. Recovery time has not been predicted at this time.

With the unexpected lengthier unconscious state of Scot, Laura, his wife, unable to work due to having to look after their special-need children, money grows thin & bills become more difficult to pay. We ask that you help support Scot's family pull through this hard chapter in their lives for the holiday. You can make a big difference for this family.
