Help! Scammed and Homeless

I HAVE BEEN SCAMMED AND AM NOW HOMELESS WITH MY 10 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER AND OUR DOG.
Immediate help is needed, please!
After a bad year of my daughter being bullied relentlessly and no help from schools or police, I made the decision to move from the UK. (This was not the only deciding factor, there were many more than I can put here. )
Not only to move somewhere in the UK, but to make a complete fresh start in a different country.
I sold everything I owned except our clothing and some personal items we didn't want to throw, and with the help of a wonderful friend, drove to Europe (Croatia) to start over afresh.
I had found and paid for an apartment online, from what I thought was a lovely Italian woman - 500 euros deposit, and 330 euros for the first months rent.
When I got here, there was no one at the apartment to meet us. It is now a few days later, and I have found out that the apartment has already been rented out to someone - and that the person that I paid for the apartment, does not even own it.
The bank is having problems refunding me any money, as the account I paid into is empty. An investigation is under way.
But, this leaves me homeless. I have no where to live here, and I have nothing to pay for hostels or places to stay for myself and my daughter.
It took all of my savings to get here, and to pay for that apartment. I work online and am paid weekly, so if I do not work, I do not get paid. And if I cannot get onto my laptop with internet connection, I cannot work.
Please help. In any way that you can, anything is appreciated. There are apartments here that I can move into as soon as I get some money, but I have nothing as it is now. I am not asking to raise thousands, just what I was scammed out of and enough to move into an apartment with deposit and first months rent.
