<div>Living busy lives with their active two boys, Sawyer (9yo) and Logan (7yo), the family had what they needed and loved their life. They spent time with grandparents, went to little league games, played Minecraft and fit in fun adventures every weekend. In the last 2 weeks, life has taken a horrifying, nightmarish turn.

<div>After the whole family got over a recent flu, Sawyer still complained of a stomach ache. His doctor ordered a scan to rule out appendicitis and Lydia and Nathan were shocked to learn their son was actually suffering from an enormous growth on his liver. A cluster of multiple tumors, measuring almost HALF A FOOT long had grown on Sawyer's liver and he needed urgent attention. He was immediately taken to Stanford's Lucille Packard Children's Hospital, where experts biopsied multiple sites and were stumped as to how to move forward.

<div>Sawyer's tumors, hepatocellular neoplasms (Stage 3), are an extremely rare type of liver cancer in a 9 year old boy; liver cancer is only 1% of all pediatric cancers. Sawyer was fast-tracked and received consultation with a pediatric liver cancer expert from UCSF who has made it clear to Nathan and Lydia that Sawyer requires immediate specialized chemotherapy, multiple surgeries including a potential liver transplant, and other novel interventions over the next year in an attempt to save his life.

<div><strong>We are raising funds to help support Sawyer and his family as they embark May 9th on this journey to do ANYTHING they must to save Sawyer's life.</strong> They will need to travel and stay for long treatments, they will have medical bills their insurance plans won't cover, and they will need to keep the home fires burning so that WHEN Sawyer is well again, he can return to his life as a carefree young boy with his best friend and little brother, Logan.
