Young Stars Theatre (YST) is a community theatre for youth actors 18 and under. We have produced more than 200 shows over 20 years, involving thousands of youth.
The bulk of our funds come from producing live shows, something we have not been able to do since March. We were able to qualify for some federal loans, but those funds are exhausted, with no return to live theatre in sight.
Our landlord has worked with us as much as possible, but if we cannot pay our lease in full for September (and beyond), we will be forced to give up the theatre space that we love and that has been our home for nearly 5 years.
Your donation will go directly to the theatre lease and to the ongoing online remote operations of YST. We are still working to keep theatre accessible to our youth in any way we can in these times, and your donation will provide hope to them that they will someday have a theatre home to return to.
It is nearly impossible to overestimate the impact your donation will have on our kids. Please help give our kids a light at the end of the tunnel.
