HELP SAVE THE VFW...
The Windsor, CT VFW Post 4740 is asking members, patrons, friends and the community to help with the cost of urgent building repairs (AC unit) that can't wait any longer to complete.
Like many small non profits the Windsor VFW suffered through Covid and the loss of income that can never be recovered. The Post has been struggling financially ever since to keep our insurance and pay monthly utilities. We rely solely on dues, hall rentals and canteen profits to keep our facility available for our veterans and the community.
The building was built in 1946 and was the former Windsor Post Office. The VFW moved into the building in 1964. The building has an upstairs hall that has been used for many weddings, birthday parties and other gatherings over the years. the downstairs has a canteen and small meeting room that is used to hold monthly VFW member and Auxiliary meetings. The building is also a bomb shelter!
We're asking you to donate any amount you can to help us make this happen.
All donations are tax-deductible as we are a 501c (19) organization.
Thank you,
