Due to, well, everything, we desperately need your help to raise $30,000 to cover the running costs of our Children’s Sanctuary in 2022.

15 years ago, my husband Andrew and I started the Children’s Sanctuary in Cambodia. Since then, our Australian registered charity has been caring for a number of children in the Siem Reap province, Cambodia.

Each child at the CSI has a tragic story to tell. Some of their earliest memories are of living alone in the streets, sleeping on cardboard, being trafficked, and abused. None had any semblance of stability, none had the safety of a loving family.

Through the Sanctuary we provide them with a home, complete with nannies, educators and the loving care they would otherwise miss out on. Our mission is to empower them through education, and see them through school and tertiary education, so as future adults they can help to make a difference in Cambodia.

Since the beginning of our charity, a number of faithful sponsors have helped provide our children a safe home, education, food and clean water, healthcare and, most of all, hope for their future.

Then came covid, and a significant number of our sponsors were forced to reallocate their generosity just to make their own ends meet.

This, combined with a worsening exchange rate and spiralling living costs in Siem Reap, have left us barely covering the basics of rent, electricity, food & water, and local staff salaries.

We need to raise $30,000 to meet the Sanctuary running costs for 2022, and to continue to provide the quality of life our children so deserve.

If these essential costs are not met, there is a growing fear as to what will happen to the children in the orphanage.
