Hi, I'm Sunny!

I was rescued in July from a large, under-resourced colony in San Leandro with no caretaker, not enough food, no fresh water, and dangerously close to busy East 14th St.

I had four hungry, nursing kittens. I weighed less than seven pounds and was pouring every ounce into being the best mother I could be. I was so happy to be rescued, I greeted everyone with sweetness and trust.

All my kittens have been adopted into loving homes, but I have had health problems which have prevented me from being taken on by a rescue or adopted. I developed wheezing and was found to have a large air-filled pocket in my lung, inflammation throughout my lungs, and a few other abnormalities. The veterinarian says I need to have a CT scan, bronchoscopy, lung wash, and blood work to understand what is wrong and hopefully help me get better.

Will you please help pay for my diagnosis and treatment so that I can find my furever home?

My rescuers began doing trap-neuter-return (TNR) in July 2023 and have fixed or fostered 110 cats since then, with nearly half being diverted to rescues and now thriving in loving homes. They want so badly to give me a happy, healthy life, but they can’t do it alone.
