Help save Sir Boy

Donation protected
Sir Boy is more than just an English teacher. To most, he is a mentor.

His strokes of penmanship were stern and crisp but his bouts of concern were warm and encouraging. Sir Boy leaves the school a little later than the others as he sees to it that no hushed cries of his students are left unheard.

He outlines subject-verb agreements to form the most accurate prose and defines moments that are poetry. Sir Boy is unafraid to teach ideals and how to cruise through every day with passion and an advocacy.

He narrates how Annabel Lee lived in a kingdom by the sea and tell stories that kindle young dreams and spirited wonder. Sir Boy validates every student’s ambition and bets on their potentials, for while he can easily scout talent, he refuses to give up on training the most timid.

He weeds out dead woods and dangling modifiers and urges to go placidly amid noise and haste. Sir Boy is a peacekeeper as he continually tries to assist his students in appeasing not just strained relations, but self-doubts.

It is then not a surprise how Sir Boy easily became a crowd favorite. He receives the most cheers during school presentations, the most gifts on Teacher’s day, and the most nods of respect.

Sadly, Sir Boy’s health has recently impaired him and prevented him from doing what he loves and does best - teaching. Sir Boy has been diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma, a form of cancer in which malignant cells are found in the lining of tubules in the kidney. His oncologist has proposed a treatment program for his case, but the same carries a costly sum.

Teachers like Sir Boy are rare finds. A teacher who does more than just teach. A teacher that inspires and motivates. This is an appeal to your kind and generous hearts to donate a certain sum for the benefit of Sir Boy’s cancer treatment.

Sir Boy fondly shares in class the story of the caterpillars Yellow and Stripe in Trina Paulus’ Hope for the Flowers. In the story, Yellow asked a cocoon this question:

“Tell me, sir, what is a butterfly?"

To which the cocoon replied.

"It's what you are meant to become. It flies with beautiful wings and joins the earth to heaven. It drinks only nectar from the flowers and carries the seeds of love from one flower to another. Without butterflies, the world would soon have few flowers.”

To his students, Sir Boy is a butterfly. Please help in keeping his majestic wings in flight. Please help save this precious butterfly.
