Sapper is our 8-year-old Belgian Malinois, and he’s more than just a pet—he’s a beloved member of our family and my son’s closest companion. Sapper was once an abandoned explosive detection dog, and when we adopted him, he was a bit rough around the house. But from the very beginning, he connected with my kids, especially my son, and quickly became an irreplaceable part of our lives. Even at his age, Sapper still shows that pure Malinois energy, always ready to play and bring joy to our home.

 Last night, Sapper accidentally swallowed a metal piece. Since then, he’s been vomiting and has become lethargic. The vet told us that emergency surgery is the only thing that can save his life, and it needs to happen tonight. The cost for the surgery is more than we can manage on our own right now. I am borrowing money to pay half upfront, but I need help covering the rest so I can bring Sapper home after his surgery.
