<div>Rita is a remarkable senior Cane Corso who has already overcome so much in her life. After surviving years in a puppy mill and then being abandoned on the streets as a senior, she was found with multiple serious infections. Despite everything, Rita proved to be a true fighter, beating every obstacle with grace and resilience. Through months of treatment, her gentle and loving spirit shone through, and she quickly became a beloved member of our extended family.

<div> Recently, Rita developed a large, non-cancerous tumor that now requires surgery to remove part of her jaw. The tumor causes discomfort, sometimes bleeds, and could eventually make it difficult for her to eat. While it isn’t cancerous, the surgery is essential for her quality of life and may become life-saving if she can’t eat. Rita continues to handle it with her usual strength and sweetness. Her owner, who has been struggling after losing his job, simply cannot afford the cost of this important surgery. While Rita stayed with my brother during this difficult time, we all grew even more attached to her and are determined to give her the best chance possible.
