<div>Help Ricardo Fight Flesh-Eating Bacteria (Yes, That’s a Real Thing )

<div>At just 39, Ricardo was hospitalized with necrotizing fasciitis—aka flesh-eating bacteria—in his neck. (Yes, neck. Yes, flesh-eating. No, we didn’t make this up.) He’s already undergone three intense surgeries, with more ahead. And while he’s still in good spirits, this has been a brutal, painful, and terrifying ordeal.

</div>
<div>Ricardo is a devoted (and quite annoying) dad and husband, and a longtime member of Chicago’s restaurant scene—currently at La Licor Panamericana in Logan Square. He’s the kind of guy who works hard, tips well, and never complains. He pours his heart into everything he does—including raising Hazel, his 13-year-old daughter, who just wants her dad back home.
</div>

</div>
<div>This GoFundMe is to <strong>help cover the mounting medical bills, lost income, and the long road to recovery ahead.</strong> We’re asking for support not just because Ricardo needs it—but because he’s the kind of person who deserves it. He’s given so much to his family, his coworkers, and his community.

</div>
<div>Whether you can donate, share, or just send good vibes, we’re deeply grateful. Let’s help Ricardo heal, rest, and get back to doing what he does best: making life better for everyone around him (except maybe the guys in his fantasy football group chat).
