Help Save Paul!

This sweet angel is Paul! Recently I adopted Paul through a Canadian rescue that helps save dogs from states with high euthanasia rates. Paul was a stray from San Antonio, Texas and was picked up and brought to the shelter.

Paul had only 4 days to be adopted before they would euthanize him. Luckily a very sweet and amazing woman picked him up before it was too late and decided to foster him until he was ready to come to Canada to start his new life.

When Paul arrived, we instantly fell in love. He is the most kind and gentle dog I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He is always right by my side and we have become the best of friends. He is the greatest companion I ever could have asked for.

Unfortunately, after his first visit to the vet in Canada they did some tests and found out that Paul was heartworm positive and had an intestinal parasite.

Heart worm is a very serious disease in dogs as it attacks the heart and lungs eating away at them until the dog dies. It is a disease passed on through the bite of a mosquito.
Treatment in Canada can range from $1000-$2500 depending on the treatment required and intensity of the situation.

I have already begun the treatment to help him get better but am seeking some financial support to ensure that he becomes a happy and healthy dog. He deserves to live life to his fullest potential.
