Help Save Our Sweet Fang's Life

We are a small family, just myself, Candice, and my 13 year old son Austin.   We have wanted to add another member to our family for a very long time and we were so incredibly thrilled when we were given the opportunity to adopt Fang.  He brought immense joy to our family immediately.

He is a beautiful and loving 5 month old kitten.  My son Austin has never been happier. He has been incredible for our mental health and we love him more than words can express.  

Fang was adopted from a loving foster mom who was taking care of Fang's sister and treating her for FIP, which stand for Feline Infectious Peritonitis and is doing well with treatment. 

Unfortunately our sweet baby Fang has been diagnosed with the same deadly disease.  We are devastated :(  His distended belly is because it is filled with fluid which is incredibly dangerous. 

FIP has long been known to be a very deadly disease, almost a 95% fatality rate.  However, there is a new medication and treatment available that is proving to be very successful. 

Sadly it can be very expensive.  The meds for FIP need to be administer every day for a minimum of 84 days via a syringe (possibly longer) .  The cost of the basic medication is $150 for a 6ml vial.  Due to Fang's weight and age (5 months)  he will need higher doses and it could be upwards of $50 per day. 

There are also other costs associated with the treatment, including vet visits, e-rays, ultrasounds, cost of needles, pain medication etc. 

I am a single mother who wishes more than anything that I could afford to give our sweet baby all the care he needs.  We are not in a position to do that which is why we are hoping you can help.   We do not want to have him euthanized.  He is a part of our family and we love him so much.  

Please help us save our beautiful and loving kitten.  It would mean the absolute world to us.
