I am a single mother. I am about to lose my house that I have had a roommate the entire time to be able to afford my rent, car note, utilities, WiFi, a one-year-old baby, etc. The roommate of almost 3 years decided to leave while I was at work the day rent was due, no notice or rent payment, and now I'm about to lose my house because of it. I have been renting from the same people going on 9 years and have never been late on my rent. Now I'm not sure where we will live or how to afford it because I was screwed.
