<div>Our beautiful mother, Maria Patricia Leon Lucas, has always been an incredibly kind, caring, and hard-working woman throughout her whole life.

<div>Not long ago, our mother was diagnosed with dementia and soon after, her health complications related to diabetic retinopathy has caused my mother to lose her eyesight permanently.
</div>

<div>It has affected her and our family very deeply, our mother quickly began to lose the ability to safely care for herself due to her blindness and progression of dementia.
</div>

</div>
<div>In response to all of this, we have devoted all of our resources to vast medical care expenses month after month to allow my mother to continue to live a dignified and loving life.
</div>

<div>At the same time, we became aware that our mother's home was severely behind on her home association dues and property tax bills. We have been legally notified that her home will move toward foreclosure if my mother cannot pay off her past dues in time.
</div>

<div>We have created this fundraiser to ask our community for their help with any donation -no matter how small- to prevent the foreclosure of my mother's home during this difficult time in our family's life.
