Hi, my name is Taylor Rucker, I am here today because I need your help. Help saving my Daughter.
Meet Chloe. My amazing 14-year-old. Big Sister to one and Little Sister to two.
I have been fighting since Chloe was 3 to get her the mental health help that she needs. Unfortunately, Health insurance has been our biggest hurdle. Today Chloe is in crisis, in fact this has been the case since the beginning of March. Chloe’s Autism diagnosis has not allowed her to get the inpatient psychiatric help she needs here in Washington State. Since the beginning of March, Chloe has spent a total of 17 days home with us. The rest of the time has been spent on a pediatric unit in a local hospital that is not set up to care for children needing psychiatric services. We also know that there is more here going on than just an ASD diagnosis. And she needs to be in a place that can help us figure that out. Because in the last 11 years we have spent endless hours at Seattle Children’s Psychiatry Clinic and many other behavior clinics in the Greater Seattle Area. With countless Doctors and various Diagnosis, endless medication changes. And here we are yet again with only a ASD diagnosis.
Chloe is currently on her second 14-day ITA hold, these two are after several 120-hour holds. Thankfully, the Designated Crisis Responders we able to help make these happen to keep Chloe safe. In the beginning of May we started applying out of state to get Chloe help. Chloe needs a long term care facility for them to be able to finally diagnosis and treat my daughter, so she can come home and be a part of our family again.
Chloe has been accepted into Texas Neuro Rehab Center!
CHLOE NEEDS YOUR HELP.
Our insurance has stated they typically only pay for 30 days with a max of 45. That does not even give them the time to spend they need to diagnose let alone start a treatment plan. Texas is our last shot for my Daughter, we are out of options.
Did you know state insurance pays for a minimum of 9 months for the same program? We have private insurance.
After our insurance runs out. The cost to keep Chloe there is $584.00 per day. Thankfully, Texas is giving us our insurance daily rate.
Texas called today; her bed is ready. Today I write this with hope I can get my daughter the help she needs. Come next week Chloe and I will be Austin Bound with a bright future in reach for my sweet Girl.
