 On Wednesday, July 29, my father was rushed into emergency surgery after suffering a severe internal hemorrhage. He had lost a dangerous amount of blood, and his hemoglobin level had dropped to 5 g/dL, putting his life at immediate risk.

 Before this emergency, we had repeatedly taken him to IMSS Hospital #15 in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, hoping he would be admitted and treated. Despite his worsening condition, he was repeatedly discharged. On July 29, after one final unsuccessful attempt to have him admitted, we had no choice but to take him to a private hospital.

 There, doctors immediately recognized the seriousness of his condition. He underwent emergency surgery, which was successful and saved his life. However, after the operation, our family could no longer afford the cost of his hospitalization and postoperative care. Believing he was stable enough to continue recovering, we transferred him back to IMSS Hospital #15 for postoperative treatment.

 Unfortunately, our experience there was devastating. We believe delays in care and a lack of timely medical attention caused his condition to worsen significantly. His health deteriorated so quickly that our family made the heartbreaking decision to sign him out against medical advice and return him to a private hospital. We were told that waiting even one more hour could have put his life at risk.

 Today, my father remains hospitalized. He requires intensive medical care, specialized medications, continuous monitoring, laboratory tests, and ongoing treatment. The medical expenses continue to grow every day, and our family has exhausted our savings trying to keep him alive.

 Mi nombre es Edith y hoy recurro a ustedes con el corazón en la mano para pedir ayuda en el momento más difícil que ha vivido nuestra familia.

 El pasado 29 de julio, mi papá fue sometido a una cirugía de emergencia debido a una grave hemorragia interna. Había perdido una cantidad muy importante de sangre y su hemoglobina había descendido hasta 5 g/dL, poniendo su vida en un riesgo inminente.

 Antes de llegar a esta situación, intentamos en repetidas ocasiones que fuera atendido en el Hospital General Regional No. 15 del IMSS en Reynosa, Tamaulipas. A pesar de que su estado de salud empeoraba, fue enviado a casa en varias ocasiones. El 29 de julio, tras un último intento sin éxito para que lo hospitalizaran, no tuvimos otra opción que llevarlo a un hospital particular.

 Ahí, los médicos reconocieron de inmediato la gravedad de su condición y lo ingresaron de urgencia para realizarle una cirugía que, gracias a Dios, fue un éxito y logró salvarle la vida.
</div>

 Sin embargo, después de la operación ya no contábamos con los recursos económicos para cubrir los gastos del hospital privado y el manejo postoperatorio, por lo que decidimos trasladarlo nuevamente al IMSS No. 15, con la esperanza de que pudiera continuar su recuperación.

 Lamentablemente, nuestra experiencia fue muy dolorosa. Como familia, consideramos que hubo retrasos importantes en su atención y falta de cuidados oportunos, lo que provocó que su estado de salud empeorara rápidamente. Ante esta situación, tomamos la difícil decisión de solicitar su alta voluntaria y trasladarlo nuevamente a un hospital particular. Los médicos nos indicaron que, de haber permanecido ahí una hora más, su vida habría corrido un grave riesgo.

 Hoy mi papá continúa hospitalizado. Necesita medicamentos especializados, vigilancia médica constante, estudios de laboratorio, cuidados intensivos y tratamiento continuo para poder recuperarse. Los gastos médicos aumentan cada día y nuestra familia ha agotado prácticamente todos sus recursos intentando salvar su vida.
