Help Save Mr. Alan Jeffries (Jeff Schoenberg)

I am Marc Perry and I am creating this GoFundMe for the awesome and talented Jeffrey (Jeff) Schoenberg (and his equally marvelous husband Michael), whose businesses as AJS Costumes to the entertainment industry and Mr Alan Jeffries to the Dickens Fair community are struggling under the weight of COVID-19.
Jeff has not had any recent income and has not been able to pay the rent on several storage units that house the contents of his businesses, and that is why I have started this GoFundMe.
Jeff needs $16,000 by October 14, 2020 to pay the back rent on those units.
Many love the extraordinary work he does at Dickens Fair with men's Victorian fashion, including waistcoats, coats, trousers, cravats, and many others, and he does a thriving business during the 5-6 week run-of-fair; however, that is not his primary source of income.
Jeff is a member of the Motion Picture Costumers union, IATSE Local 705 , and creates, tailors, rents, and sells costumes to the entertainment industry in Southern California. In 2018, AJS Costumes lost its shop and everything was placed into storage. Several decades worth of costumes, fabrics, armor, shoes, industrial equipment, dress forms, office equipment, shelving, patterns, etc. were placed into 7 storage units. Since November 2019, Jeff has not had a union job in the entertainment industry and then COVID-19 cancelled 8 theater shows and other events for which he had costuming contracts and sales opportunities.
Without that income, he has been unable to pay for those storage units. If he cannot pay the rent owed, those storage units will go to auction where everything he owns will be sold to the highest bidder for pennies on the dollar. Jeff's way of life, his livelihood, as well as AJS Costumes and Mr. Alan Jeffries, will no longer exist.
Jeff knows that I am doing this for him, and he is the sole beneficiary for this GoFundMe. I will be completely hands-off and I will not have access to ANY of the funds.
