If you know Donna McGee, you know she is pure sunshine.

Donna is one of the kindest, most loving people you could ever meet. Through some of life’s hardest moments — including the loss of her husband and most recently her best friend — she has continued to show up with warmth, positivity, and love for everyone around her.

And through it all, one constant source of joy has been her beloved horse, Missy.

Missy is not “just a horse.” She is Donna’s best friend, her therapy, her social circle, her peace, and her reason to get out and smile each day. For years, Donna and Missy have been inseparable, spending their days riding with the wonderful Silver Stirrups ladies at Fox Hollow Stables. Their bond is something truly special to witness.

Recently, Missy was diagnosed with EPM — a disease that can be treated — but the treatments and post-care supplements are extremely expensive. Without treatment, Donna will be faced with the heartbreaking decision to put Missy down simply because the cost is too much to manage alone.

We don’t want that to happen.

We want Donna and Missy to continue making memories together for many more years. We want Donna to continue enjoying the companionship, friendship, and happiness that Missy brings to her life every single day.
