Hi all - unfortunately we had a double whammy this past week with two kittens diagnosed with FIP - Max and Obi. Max has dry, ocular FIP and Obi has wet, effusive FIP. Both kittens are about 4-5 months old and had rough starts in life. Thankfully, they were trapped and neutered and vaccinated and on their way to a better life…. Or so we thought. Obi will be fighting an uphill battle as he is also Felv+ and trying to fight off that virus as well. It’s critical that we can get them meds asap and start their journey towards better health.
FIP meds (essentially Remdesivir for cats) are very expensive and are not readily available in the US. The cost of treatment for both of these boys for 84 days of meds and period blood work will run about $2500 each. Any amount you can donate helps to chip away at this huge expense. If you can’t donate, please share! Thanks as always to those who give ❤️
