Please help Marie get better!

Marie Gaisford urgently needs your help today to win her fight against cancer. Our mother was diagnosed with bowel cancer a few months ago further test have shown that the Cancer has spread to her bones, lungs & lymph nodes. She has been experiencing excruciating pain and has been in and out of hospital to get the pain under control. She is currently in the hospice of St Francis where family stay from morning till night watching her take every breathe praying it’s not her last.. She is comfortable but we don’t want this to be the last place she remembers.
The situation is now critical and the NHS have advised there is nothing else they can do to treat her in light of how far the Cancer has spread. Her immune system has been seriously impacted and as such they cannot offer her Chemotherapy as a last resort.
Marie is only 49 years old and has a lot to live for - including a husband and three lovely young children with 3 grandchildren. Marie used to work at a care home in Berkhamsted which has always been her dream job, this has come to a complete halt because of this disease, giving back to the community and caring for others has always been her goal.
We have set up this page to raise vital funds that will enable her pursue treatment to overcome this horrible disease. The funds will help her cover the costs for receiving ground breaking therapy at a specialist Cancer clinic in Houston - Texas, who have had success with treating advanced stage Cancers. This treatment is not available on the NHS, as a result the costs which are significant have to be privately funded - this is where you can help.
Every bit you give including helping us spread the word to those in a position to contribute towards this can really make a difference.
We need to give Marie a chance to beat this disease so she can see her daughters & grandchildren grow up and try and live the loving life she’s always dreamed off she may never be 100% again but she will still be here with us in no pain and doing her best by providing and taking care of her family and others.
