Meet Lilo. At only 10 months old, this sweet soul is battling a life-threatening condition called portosystemic shunt. This means that an abnormal blood vessel allows his blood to bypass the liver, preventing it from being properly filtered. As a result, toxins accumulate in his body and cause severe health problems.

But there is hope — surgery can save his life. Without surgery, Lilo’s condition will worsen. He will begin to suffer from seizures and his organs will eventually fail. Surgery is his only chance at survival.

The costs :

We have already received a first bill of 142€ for the first tests.

Will be added to that a second bill of 55€ for the extra bile acid test that confirmed the diagnosis.

Total (before surgery, tests only) : 197€.

The surgery alone will cost between 500€ and 1000€.

Cost to send him to Thessaloniki then to Montenegro for surgery : 400€

CT scan : 325€

TOTAL (minimum) : 1422€
