Help Save Lieutenant Dan!

Neither of us where looking for one another but we found each other all the same. It was pouring rain the day I found Lieutenant Dan, he was stuck in a fence at the dog park when it was pouring down rain and scrambling to get free. I managed to wrangle the kitten free from the fence and saw that his rear didn’t quite work right. So being an avid animal rescuer I took the tiny feral fluff ball home. It soon became clear to us all that Dan couldn’t feel nor use his back legs to get around. He has since become acclimated to the world on an indoor spoiled housecat. He is loved dearly by our family and especially our almost three year old son, Jamie. Recently Dan has gotten a bad infection from something that has caused him great pain and irritation which lead to him licking and chewing to the point where he reached bone without us ever knowing. Dan is a medium hair fluffy cat who never is licking when we are around. So this came as a horrible shock when we found out and discovered it finally. Unfortunately it was all too late for his foot. The foot will need to be amputated to save Dan’s life and we can’t give up on him now. Not when he has wiggled his way into our hearts and shown us how truly special and wonderful a special needs cat can be. Please help us save our kitten! All the proceeds will be going to the veterinary costs including visits, surgical fee and, medications for pain as well as antibiotics.
