Help Save Lee's United Gymnastics!

Lee's United Gymnastics Academy has been serving the communities of Kings County for over 25 years. Throughout the years, we've had thousands of athletes and it's been a honor to have been a part of their lives. Some have returned as coaches and some have returned as parents of some of our littlest gymnasts.

We cannot imagine our lives without gymnastics.  Being the only gymnastics academy in the county means that if we close it will greatly impact the children of our community. So we  are now appealing to you, our community, for help. Although we had to shutdown again, there are expenses we are still obligated to pay. Our two biggest being rent of almost $9,800 per month and utilities of almost $2000 per month. We are also hoping to raise enough money to repay the SBA loan we received. This will allow the gym, when the time comes, to reopen without an additional financial burden.

Prior to the second shutdown, we followed the strictest guidelines to keep our athletes safe. This included increased sanitation and smaller class sizes which put an additional financial strain on the gym.  We did not pull a profit or even bring in enough to cover all of our monthly expenses. We are concerned that when it's time to reopen, we will not be able to do so with an anticipated decrease in income and the added financial stress of repaying the SBA loan.

From the beginning, we have felt the weight of doing what was safe for the community and understand our part in that.  We will continue to follow state and county mandated closures until we can safely reopen.
