Save Toronto's Lavish&Squalor

HELLO EVERYONE! Thank you for watching our slide show. It was really fun to make with a few emotional moments of great memories. Since 2006, Lavish&Squalor has been a big part of so many people's lives. Our customers have always given us the purpose and strength to ensure we are here keeping things fresh and interested for each and every visit. We (Anne & Sandro - Owners of L&S) have dedicated our 20 year careers to creating safe and creative work spaces and truly unique shopping experiences. We have had the pleasure of working with so many talented designers, makers and staff members. Running an independent business in Toronto already has it's challenges with constant rent & overhead increases. With an already recent rent increase, we were, like many small businesses, concerned when we had to close due to Covid19 With great sadness, we were not able to endure the one week, two.... one month, two... closure. We have lost our beloved home at  253 Queen Street West. But we can't disappear. We know our customers and the Queen West community need us to still be here! So we are calling on our community for help. To you, our guests, friends and neighbours to be here for us now so we can continue to be here for you.  We know it's a hard time for many and we also just appreciate your encouragement. But if you are able to help, we sincerely appreciate anything you can contribute. We are seeking to raise $55,000 to be used for the following: 1.  Tie up some loose ends 2.  Secure a new location 3.  Hire back our employees 4.  Rebuild an equally magical boutique very close to the old shop We would like to start asap to ensure we are ready when the city gives you all the green light to come back out to your favourite local shops and cafes. Sadly, we will not be able to do this without this help. And we will have to say goodbye.  As a token of our appreciation, we are giving away a few special things.
