Help Save La Morada Immigrant Restaurant

We are an undocumented family-owned and operated Oaxacan restaurant in the South Bronx, dedicated to preserving and sharing indigenous Mexican cuisine with our neighbors and friends.  We love sharing culture, art, and community initiatives while actively participating in social justice causes.  Sadly, we have had to close down, probably for the next few months, because of Covid-19 (coronavirus).  Because we are undocumented, we do not qualify for any of the assistance that other businesses are getting.  Our goal is therefore to raise enough money to allow our family and the restaurant to survive until we can once again open our doors and serve our community.
