Help save Katie’s leg!

My name is Codie, I am creating this fund for my dear friend Lauryn and her child (dog) Katie, Kate also known as Katherine. Katie is in desperate need of surgery on her rear left leg. Today, Katie was running in a field and out of nowhere lifted her leg and started screaming. Lauryn and I instantly knew something was wrong. We both went running towards her. Only to see how terrible her leg really was! We picked her up and carried her to the truck and rushed her to the emergency vet. Lauryn doesn’t have the funds to get this surgery for Kate and she is absolutely sick at the thought of loosing her best friend! Katie is just the sweetest girl and absolutely loves everyone and everything! Katie has two breaks on her leg (as seen in the X-ray). The money donated to this GoFundMe account will be used for the necessary operation for Katie. Lauryn has two options, her first option is to fix her leg which is estimated at $3,500. Lauryn’s second option is to amputate Katie’s leg. Ideally our goal is to go with option 1. But the funds just aren’t there. Katie is only 5 years old! It would mean the world to Lauryn if she could save Katie’s leg! Katie’s sister Remmie really wants to be able to run again with her! Any donation would be very much appreciated!
