This is for a dearfriend of mine. I am now residing in a different state and this is my way of helping a beautiful woman and mother. Together with another close friend of the family Tony, we are trying to find ways to keep this family together. All funds raised will go directly to Joanne's medical care, expense's and treatments to save her life.
Joanne Lamoureux-Savage is a widow and mother of three awesome boys. The boys lost their father to cancer 4 1/2 years ago and have been watching their mother battle cancer daily for 4 1/2 years now. They are terrified that they will lose their only parent.
Joanne has a rare form of cancer called Peritoneal Carcinoma. It is a very difficult cancer to treat because it is in the lining of the abdomen. Joanne has undergone surgery 3 times, radiation, chemo treatments every other week for the past 4 years and countless trips to the ER for cancer related problems. But she keeps bouncing back and fighting for herself and her family.
The local doctors have run out of options and have sent her home, feeling that there is no more they can do for her. A dear friend of the family, Tony has been researching alternative therapies and has found a clinic out of state with cutting edge treatments where they are experiencing success with treating and killing cancer.
Joanne, with the support and love of her 3 sons would like to start these treatments as soon as possible, while she still has enough strength to travel. She is hoping this will save her life. She is praying for a chance at life with her family and that these new treatments will give her that. This is a 6-month program and she DESPERATELY NEEDS HELP NOW. By helping this family afford the treatments, you are helping to ensure that these 3 boys have at least one parent to finish raising them and help guide them through life.
