Help save Half Moon Temple - urgent support needed to reopen

My name is Emma. I'm posting this on behalf of my friend Azriel, because she needs our help!

Half Moon Temple has always been more than a yoga studio for so many of us. It's a space of connection. Of grounding. Of coming back to yourself.

A place where people have shown up on their hardest days and their softest mornings, and

found something so real waiting for them. That didn't happen by accident. It was built slowly, intentionally, by this community, together. Azriel has poured her heart into this for 4 years and what exists here is not surface-level. It is deep. And it is worth fighting for.

It takes a village

Opening Half Moon Temple was the greatest leap of faith I've ever taken. One of the scariest

things I've ever done. Asking for your support now, that might be even braver.

Because it requires trust. It requires vulnerability. It requires letting myself be held.

And I'm asking anyway. Because I believe deeply in what we've built here, there's so many people who have expressed how much it means to them and I'm not ready to let it go. I'm just as committed as ever to providing this safe + sacred sanctuary to so many incredible people in our Community.

What's happened

Over the past weeks, Half Moon Temple has been facing an urgent and unexpected crisis. A combination of financial pressure, rental arrears that have stacked up over time, and a complete breakdown in communication

with the landlord forced me to vacate the space and temporarily close the studio.

I want to be honest with you, this has been one of the hardest periods of my life. Starting and

sustaining a small business alone is not easy and I have given everything I have to keep this beautiful

space alive. But I've hit a wall I can't get past on my own. There have been increases in expenses and unexpected costs I couldn't have seen coming and some months have been a struggle to keep things afloat. In addition to this I have been dealing with post traumatic stress from being a victim of a serious crime that was investigated by the Yarra Criminal Investigation Unit for 6 months. Which happened after I opened the business. Sometimes I think it's a miracle the doors are still open because the aftermath of that event was serious. But the PTSD has most certainly impaired by business management abilities at times Back to the present events now:

The studio has since reopened, but only for a short time. We now have approximately 7-10 days

to raise the funds needed to secure its future. Thank you so much for reading this far.

This is not the end of Half Moon Temple. If we can rise to meet this moment, there is a very real

path forward, one that is stronger, more stable, and more intentional than before. There is a clear

vision for what this space becomes next, and it's ready to be built.

Whether that means continuing at Church Street with renewed foundations, or stepping into a new space

that can hold even more of what we've created, the heart of it stays the same. That's what needs to be protected.
