THIS IS A SURPRISE FOR ELISE, SO PLEASE DON'T TALK TO HER ABOUT IT!
Many of you may know that Elise has been battling a finger injury for over a year now. Initially doctors told her that it would heal on its own, but it turns out that it "healed" incorrectly, requiring surgery to fix it. Elise has already gone through one surgery to attempt to fix it, but it wasn't successful and she just found out that she will need to go back for another surgery that will cost her at least $4000 out of pocket. Many of you may also know that Elise has been raising support to work as a youth ministry intern at Trinity Presbyterian Church for the past few years and consequently, doesn't have this kind of money to spare.
Elise has blessed so many of us in her presence as a friend, mentor, neighbor, etc., and we now together have the opportunity to give back some of the love that she has poured out to all of us. I encourage you to first and foremost, pray for her operation and recovery, and secondly, if you feel led, help ease the financial burden of the surgery. If you have any questions about this situation and/or how you can help, please don't hesitate to reach out!
