Astralab is a unique diaspora space in Los Angeles, serving the many cultures and spiritual traditions that make this city so vibrant. Founded by two seekers, Yusuf and Christina, Astralab has become a social hub and a safe haven for those seeking reconnection with their roots, spiritual growth, and a sense of belonging. From Sufism to Ayurveda to ancient Iranian wisdom, Astralab offers a welcoming environment where hospitality and spiritual ascension are at the heart of everything. It’s a place where people can gather, share stories, enjoy hand-roasted espresso and homemade sharbats, and find comfort away from the pressures of the outside world, including those seeking refuge from ICE.

 Recently, Astralab was blindsided by an eviction notice. The building’s owner provided no evidence, did no investigation, and gave no chance to respond. This was especially shocking given that Astralab had been in positive lease negotiations, with the owner acknowledging the value Astralab brought to the building. The only explanation seems to be the owner’s discovery of Astralab’s ongoing support for Gaza and Palestine, expressed through monthly fundraiser events. This sudden threat puts at risk not just a business, but a vital community space that so many rely on for connection and support.

 Funds raised will go directly toward legal fees to fight this unjust eviction and relocation costs if needed. Yusuf and Christina have never done much more than break even with Astralab—this isn’t about profit; they merely want to see it flourish and continue offering its unique gifts to the world. Astralab exists because of the community’s need and the support of people like you, who have always commented on the good vibes and spiritual atmosphere.
