Help feed the Alpacas!

Hi, my names Stacey and I am the owner of Emberwood Creative, a small design and photography company based on Anglesey. The reason for this Gofundme page is to help a client, who has now become a dear friend, feed her animals and save her business.

Elaine Bavington of Anglesey Alpacas gave up her teaching job to own Alpacas and run her business from her farm just over a year ago. She and her partner Tim hit the ground running and people loved the Alpacas and the walking experiences they had to offer, meeting the Alpacas, feeding them, selfies, even being a trainer for the day! They were even hired for weddings like below!

But then Covid -19 hit. I will never forget the phone call I got from Elaine at the start of April, she was so upset and I felt so helpless , her business she had poured everything into wasn't eligible for any grants. Non. Not even £10!! Her business had been running for less than the 3 years needed of accounts, it didn't have a premises as she wasn't allowed to run it from her farm as she had earlier expected to do, and now the world was in lockdown and as you know this lasted a VERY long time. During that time Elaine and Tim still had to feed and care for these animals with not a penny help from the government.

Elaine and Tim have poured everything they had to save them from closing their business, and to keep the animals fed happy and watered, as well as themselves and the other various animals on the farm.  Losing a close member of the family, and other personal issues, including their transport for the alpacas not working,  meaning they didnt get to reopen at all this season, having to run past a million (or so it seemed) regulations with the council where they can walk alpacas and looking for new premises, losing their Anglesey Alpacas facebook page to hackers - their biggest advertisement its safe to say this year has really taken its toll on Elaine and her family and I've seen it.

Just before lockdown happened Elaine took in abandoned Alpacas and paid all the vet fees to get them back to health, in the past two months her breeding programme means she now has multiple baby alpaca to care for too, she has a heart of gold and now is the time time to help her.

Now we are facing a second lockdown on Friday and the reality of is they can't go on as they are, Elaine is facing selling some of her alpacas, not only are they her business, they are her babies too! She loves these animals and has worked so hard I feel I have to try and help in whatever way I can - so here it is.

Please help feed the Alpacas and get Elaine and her business through the winter. She has been dismissed by the Government and it's really not on! I know they are not the only Animal fronted business thats needed help through all this, and I've seen the power of social media and the power of community to keep these places going. I just hope you can do it one more time. Elaine hasn't wanted to ask for the help, but I will...

Anything you can spare will help, hay for Alpacas, feed for chickens and sheep! Even if it's just £1 it's something towards helping this lovely family! The money will be spent on the Animals and keeping Anglesey Alpacas afloat during these hard times.

Thank you for reading all this - you are wonderful!
