Help save an American fashion brand

Donation protected

Hello Friends,

I really need your help.

This story starts with me, an African American fashion designer who started a fashion brand  on the internet 10 years ago. We were one of very few studios in the world back then to start selling designer clothing online. We were ahead of the times. Steadily we have focused on what designer fashion consumption would look like in the year 2020. We were right, its the internet.

I fell in love with fashion growing up in Florida as the son of a seamstress. I first learned about the sewing machine when I was 5 years old. My mother made all of our clothing growing up and I assisted. She could make anything. She didn't have any formal training, it was all in her imagination. She also insisted that I learn computers and I was lucky enough to attend the only public school in my town with a computer. I coded my first website in my third grade computer sciences class. Since then I have never stopped coding.

I moved to New York 17 years ago to study at New York's Fashion Institute of Technology. I worked on Fashion’s 7th avenue after graduating and was considered talented enough to get funded to launch my own  business. Over the years I have built a design atelier & multimedia studios, opened a retail store, hired a team, built an e-commerce website  and acquired customers who love what we do. It was an incredibly difficult process but over time we did it. We even survived the years following the 2008 recession that happened 10 months after we first launched.

We sustainably built every aspect of a fashion company from the ground up. We are very well positioned to become a major fashion brand. We have a loyal customer base worldwide. We know internet technologies very well and are experts at e-commerce.

Fast forward to today where we are growing incrementally but not fast enough for my current investors to continue to fund our vision. Without working capital I cannot continue to accelerate growth. I will have to close the studio and layoff my team who also depend on me to support their families.

Your help will enable me to continue to do what I have done nearly my entire life and that is design and make fashion. My business is very well invested and is in a key position to accelerate immediate growth.  Our studios are fully equipped. I have a talented and remarkable team of tailors and seamstresses who makes all of our clothing in our studio in New York.

Your support will keep us working and will help us to continue to grow.
I am appealing to friends who believe in me and can attest to my character and capabilities. I am also appealing to anyone who understands artist entrepreneurs and believes in dreams. Anything that you can give, I will forever be grateful for.

Please share my story with anyone who you think that can maybe help us.

Thank you sincerely,
Miguel
