Abertillery Cricket Club has proudly served our community for over 150 years — but now, we face one of the biggest challenges in our long history.
In 2024, our pavilion was shut down by the council due to asbestos. Due to sharply rising council fees and the unsustainable cost of hiring temporary demountable buildings, we will be left without changing rooms or a pavilion at the start of the 2026 season. Without these essential facilities, the club simply cannot function, and the risk of folding is very real.
We are now working urgently to raise funds for a new log cabin-style pavilion at the ground — a vital step to ensure that cricket continues to thrive in Abertillery for generations to come.
