<div><strong>Help Save a 6-Month-Old Kitten With a Shattered Pelvis &amp; Hernia</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Only days ago, this little boy was running around normally, waiting for his food.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Today, at barely 6 months old, he is facing two major operations and we urgently need help to make them possible.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our rescuer, Soua'd, knows him from her regular street-feeding rounds in Dubai. She had seen him perfectly well only days before. Then suddenly she found him unable to move normally and clearly in terrible pain.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We still do not know exactly what happened, but the vets believe he suffered severe trauma, most likely from being hit.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The X-rays were devastating.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>His pelvis is <strong>badly fractured</strong> and <strong>displaced</strong> inward, and the damage is far more complicated than a broken bone alone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>His injuries have affected his intestinal area!</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As the vets investigated further, they discovered that the pelvic trauma had caused <strong>serious complications</strong> around his <strong>intestines</strong>, including a <strong>hernia</strong>.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He became unable to pass stool normally.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>There were <strong>concerns</strong> about the surrounding <strong>tissues</strong> and <strong>nerves</strong>, whether he would ever be able to toilet normally again, and what kind of life he could have even if surgery was technically possible.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He was also passing <strong>blood-tinged urine</strong>, was in <strong>significant pain</strong>, and was dealing with a <strong>severe chest infection</strong> and <strong>infected gums.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>At one stage, one veterinary assessment gave us an extremely poor prognosis.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Looking at him, you would never imagine it.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He is alert. He looks at you. He still looks like a little kitten.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But inside, his tiny body has been through <strong>catastrophic trauma.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Today, they finally managed to give him some relief!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Because he had been unable to pass stool properly for several days, the veterinary team manually removed some of the impacted stool.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thankfully, it worked and gave him some much-needed temporary relief.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But it does not solve what is happening inside him.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He still urgently needs surgery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We <strong>finally</strong> found a vet willing to take on his case
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Initially, we were told surgery could cost around 8,000 AED.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>After a specialist reviewed the severity of his injuries, we were then quoted around 13,000 AED for the pelvic surgery alone, before the additional intestinal complications and recovery costs.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We genuinely did not know how we could ever afford it.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Then another well-known rescuer stepped in and helped Soua’d access an <strong>extraordinary rescue rate</strong> with a veterinary team willing to take on this extremely difficult case.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We have now been given an estimate of approximately:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>6,055 AED (1236 GBP)</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is for a major case involving two surgical procedures - <strong>repair of the hernia/internal complication and surgery for his severe pelvic injury</strong> - together with blood tests and up to <strong>14 days of hospitalisation</strong>, monitoring and recovery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It is an <strong>incredible reduction </strong>compared with what we were facing before.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We may never be offered an opportunity like this again.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>But there is one condition. </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>The full amount has to be paid upfront! </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Because this is a heavily discounted rescue arrangement for major surgery, the veterinary <strong>clinic needs the payment </strong>before they can proceed.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Medically, his surgery needs to happen as soon as possible!!!</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Financially, We Are Stuck!!!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We simply do not have <strong>6,055 AED (1236 GBP)</strong> available.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>We cannot</strong> admit him for these procedures and promise to pay afterwards.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>We first have to raise the money.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And every additional day means this little boy continues living with a shattered pelvis and serious intestinal complications.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We Have Nothing Left To Pull From!!!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Soua’d has<strong> no work or bookings</strong> this month, while still <strong>having to feed and care </strong>for the many cats already depending on her.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We still have <strong>outstanding</strong> veterinary bills.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Two more injured cats have recently needed veterinary care.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Romeo is also waiting for surgery!!! </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>There is no emergency reserve sitting somewhere that we can use.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We have reached the heartbreaking point where a vet is willing to help, an incredible rescue discount has been secured, and there is a possible path forward for this baby…
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>but we cannot take it<strong> unless we raise the money.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>PLEASE HELP US GIVE HIM THIS CHANCE </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We know his case is complicated.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We know two major surgeries carry risks.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Nobody can promise us a perfect outcome.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But after seeking further veterinary opinions, we have finally found a team prepared to try to help him at a cost that makes treatment remotely possible.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We do not want lack of money to be the reason we cannot even give him that opportunity.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He is only six months old.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A few days ago, he was simply waiting for his dinner.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now he is fighting for the chance to walk comfortably, toilet normally and have a future.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We urgently need to raise <strong>6,055 AED (1236 GBP)</strong> so his treatment can go ahead as soon as possible.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Whether you can give <strong>£5, £10, £20</strong> or simply share his fundraiser, every bit of help brings him closer to that operating table.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We stepped in because leaving him injured and suffering on the street was never an option.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now we desperately need people to stand behind him with us.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please help us give this little boy his chance.

</div>
<div>PLEASE follow his journey and the rest of our rescue work.
