Help Sarah get her stuff back!

Sarah and I were on our way to Virginia. She got accepted into law school up there and I offered to help her move. We drove from Utah to Virginia, making it as enjoyable as possible. On Saturday, August 05, we stopped in New Orleans for a quick lunch. Within 30 minutes, our car was fully immersed in water. Locals assured us everything inside was damaged, if not totally destroyed. EVERYTHING Sarah owned was in that car, and we were devastated. And stranded in NOLA. Luckily, we got in contact with some old neighbors and they helped us get into a hotel.
We went back to the car when the water subsided, and found out the water had reached the top of the windows, and everything inside, like we feared, had been soaked through. This included laptops, chargers, and even car engines.
The next couple of days were spent trying to salvage as many possessions as we could. The clothes survived, but not much else.
We got a rental car upon finding out her uninsured car was totaled (flood insurance in Utah is a joke haha), and recently made it up to Virginia.
Sarah starts law school in 2 days. No car. No laptop. No furniture. Just bills and a shopping list of replacements. And to make it worse, she isn't even allowed to work while in school, so no source of income.

Although she joked about someone setting one of these up, I figured I would, even though neither of us are ones to ask for money. But she could really use it right now, and I've thrown away my pride, for now, to send a plea for help.
