Help Sarah and her family during medical issues

Hi ya’ll! This year has been WILD. I started to have trouble walking about 10 months ago and couldn’t figure out why. I’ve been to 4 neurologists, and gotten 5 MRIs and I’m finally getting some answers. They are saying I have a form of hydrocephalus, which is SUPER RARE for someone my age. Basically, my CSF fluid is not draining properly. I’ve had falls, I haven’t been able to partake in many things this year, I am exhausted all the time, etc. On top of this, my wife and I have 3 kids, a house under construction, and she has had 4 surgeries herself this year.

I have been unable to help like I used too, and I’ve needed to walk with a cane the last few months. My memory is…..BAD, and I can only hope that with surgery it’ll get better. If this is all verified, I’ll have shunt surgery in the near future.

I am a social worker in the medical field. With surgery, I’ll have to take 12 weeks off to recover. Sure, I’ll get disability pay but it only pays 60%. And because this is America, this is the best next option to help!

I know we all have so much going on, and it’s a lot to help others, too. But if you know me, you know I wouldn’t ask for help if I didn’t need it. I don’t want to burden my wife with all the bills after she has already taken care of me for almost a year. She’s the best person and mom! If you have any ability to donate, we would greatly appreciate it! It will be used to cover my medical bills and missed pay.
