Help Sara Escape her Abusive Living Situation

Sara is a mixed-race, queer, disabled transwoman who has just been kicked out of her apartment in Eureka, CA, with no notice. She is currently in Portland, OR, and has no support network in Eureka to secure her belongings. Her housemate is holding her belongings hostage, and is insisting that she not return to the apartment in Eureka in order to pack her things. Sara has several important possessions still in the apartment, including savings, government documents, medication, and sentimental items. She does not trust her housemate to pack her stuff.
Sara settled in this apartment after 5 years of general housing instability and on-and-off houselessness. She was approached by the housemate online who offered her a cheap rent. Upon moving in, the living situation deteriorated quickly. The housemate would not respect boundaries set by Sara, and in general did not communicate. In addition, the housemate made several sexually inappropriate comments to Sara. All of this made Sara feel unsafe. In addition, Sara is not on the lease, and as a result has no power to negotiate her exit.
Sara came up to Portland on 4/16/21 with the intention of visiting friends and scoping out new places to live. There was no sign of animosity from the housemate. On 4/19/21, she received a text message from her housemate. The housemate stated that they "abhorred" living with Sara and wanted her to not return. As of right now, Sara is currently negotiating the safety of her belongings while in another state. Her housemate appears unresponsive and seems unwilling to allow Sara any time to collect her belongings.
Sara needs immediate financial support for the following reasons:
(1) to arrange the safe return of her personal belongings and savings, and replace them should they be destroyed or otherwise irrecoverable.
(2) to cover travel expenses between Eureka, CA and Portland, OR;
(3) to fund her search for housing in the Portland metro area.
Anything is appreciated. In the event that we raise more money then we need, the unused funds will be donated to local causes.
