<div>Ask anyone who knows Saquon Wilson, and they’ll tell you it takes a lot to remove the smile from his face.
</div>

<div>The happy-go-lucky 6-year-old St. Augustine boy loves football, meeting new people and making friends. But this week, Saquon was seriously injured in an e-bike accident near his home.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Saquon was riding with his older sister when the bike either hit a bump or stopped suddenly, throwing both children forward, according to the family. Saquon’s head struck the asphalt, and he suffered a severe injury.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The first grader at Crookshank Elementary School was rushed to the hospital, where doctors discovered brain swelling and serious injuries near his eye before performing surgery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Saquon has been able to speak, but told his family he was scared and could not see clearly. Doctors are continuing scans and treatment, and specialists - including plastic surgeons -- have been called in because of the depth of the head wound.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>His sister also suffered cuts, bruises and a mouth injury. She is recovering.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Saquon’s family, including his mom Jackie and dad Laquone, is now facing an unexpected financial burden from medical expenses, follow-up care, time away from work and the costs that come with staying by his side during treatment.
</div>
