Help Santino get medical care needed!!!!

Hi, my name is Stacey from Peace, Love & Doggie Paws Rescue. I was in contact with an owner of a dog that was being "abused" per her post on Nextdoor and needed to find a home for her dog. Owner advised she has been homeless since February and the dog was at a family member's house being abused and she needed to move the dog and have vet care done as she could not afford it. After almost 2 weeks, she finally surrendered the dog to Anthony and his family that picked dog up on Thursday 5/12. Unfortunately, the dog is VERY under weight, swollen and open wounds as well as his mouth would not open further than a 1/2". Anthony took dog to a local vet that then advised taking to a ER vet. He went to Keystone ER and after looking at his locked jaw, they had him take dog to PENN. He has already put down a $2,000.00 hold on his card and they expect the vet bill to run up to $8,000.00 to find out what is going on with this dog. Dog is only 6 months old and was never given a chance at a decent life. I will try and post more pictures of dog once he can get them, but dog is currently at vet being treated and tested. PLEASE help us help him! This is alot of money for someone to take on with a new dog. This dog deserves this loving family and a normal life. Any little bit helps.
