<div>My name is Adriana, and I’m writing this with a heavy but hopeful heart. My husband, Santiago, is the love of my life, the most devoted father to our 10-year-old son, and a loyal son and brother.
</div>

<div>For 15 years, Santiago has worked as an occupational therapist, helping children with disabilities reach their full potential. A patient’s mother once told me, “He has been an angel for so many families and children.” Santiago has spent his life giving to others and now <strong>he is the one who needs help</strong>.
</div>

</div>
<div>Earlier this year, <strong>Santiago was diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis)</strong>, a devastating disease that gradually takes away a person’s ability to move, speak, and eventually breathe. This diagnosis turned our world upside down, but Santiago is determined to fight for as much time as possible and the best quality of life with his family.

<div>There are promising treatments and therapies that can slow the progression of ALS, but they are extremely expensive and often not covered by insurance.
</div>

<div>We are raising funds to help cover:

</div>
<div>Home modifications and equipment so Santiago can stay mobile and safe

<div>Our goal is simple: <strong>to give Santiago the best possible chance to stay by our side</strong>, to celebrate more birthdays, cheer at school events, and enjoy the everyday moments that make life beautiful.

<div><em>﻿</em>Mi nombre es Adriana y escribo estas palabras con el corazón triste pero lleno de esperanza. Mi esposo, Santiago, es el amor de mi vida, el padre más dedicado para nuestro hijo de 10 años y un hijo y hermano incondicional.

<div>Durante 15 años, Santiago ha trabajado como terapeuta ocupacional, ayudando a niños con discapacidades a alcanzar su máximo potencial. La mamá de un paciente me dijo una vez: “Ha sido un ángel para tantas familias y niños.” Santiago ha dedicado su vida a ayudar a los demás <strong>y ahora es el quien necesita ayuda.</strong>

<div>A principios de este año, a <strong>Santiago le diagnosticaron ELA (Esclerosis Lateral Amiotrófica)</strong>, una enfermedad devastadora que poco a poco le quita a la persona la capacidad de moverse, hablar y, eventualmente, respirar. Este diagnóstico sacudió nuestro mundo, pero Santiago está decidido a luchar para tener el mayor tiempo posible y la mejor calidad de vida junto a su familia.

<div>Existen tratamientos y terapias prometedoras que pueden retrasar el avance de la ELA, pero son extremadamente costosos y, en la mayoría de los casos, no están cubiertos por el seguro médico.
