Help Sandra move forward after the fire

In the early hours of Sunday, May 30th, tragedy struck when someone senselessly set fire to the carport at Sandra Hill’s home on Gabriola Island. That fire quickly spread  to her home, causing complete devastation. Thankfully, the sounds of the embers hitting her window woke her and she was able to get out safely with only her pjs on and purse in hand.

Sandra, or “Mrs. Hill” as some affectionally call her, and the Ross/Hill family have been a part of Gabriola for over 64 years. This was a home that Sandra herself grew up in and where she ended up raising her own family.  I know many people would consider it their second home as well, as I did too growing up. Sandra has been a pillar in the community, always there to lend a helping hand, give positive and encouraging thoughts and prayers.

Insurance will cover some of the losses but there will be many expenses coming up that won’t be. Any funds raised from this page will go towards those expenses and whatever else Sandra may need as time goes on. She has lost everything!
