Help Sandra Avoid Homelessness

Hi all,

I’m raising funds for Sandra Foster, an 86 year old widow of an army veteran, who is about to lose her home (details below). She lives off $1,400/mo and sold her car as she couldn’t afford the insurance. I burst into tears when she said to me, “If I lose my house, I don’t even have a car to live in. I’ll be homeless.” No one should experience this at any age, let alone 86. She told me she had no one. I told her that wasn’t true. She has us - all of us. So please give what you can so this sweet lady doesn’t lose her home.

 

Background: through some savvy marketing and bad financial advice, she signed up for a predatory reverse mortgage and deferred her house taxes. The reverse mortgage was sold multiple times and the current company is foreclosing on her house if she can’t pay the $25,000 in deferred taxes. They’ll foreclose in February so we have until then to help her. Thank you! Merry Christmas!
